Answer:
In 27 years of doing DUI defense work, the stories that you get, the questions you get are often so funny, and I say that tongue in cheek and sincere. But one of them I get is these outrageous comments that they heard from a neighbor or a friend about how outrageous the cost is of a blow-and-go device.

First of all, in West Virginia, you’re only going to be dealing with a blow-and-go device if you get convicted of a DUI. At the Wagner Law Firm, goal number one is that you never get convicted of the DUI.
But if you do, it is a $100 application, a $50 installation, and it is about $75 a month, where you go in for 10 minutes once a month, they calibrate the little device and send you on your way. I tell all my clients every dollar counts, yes, but it is not silly money in any way, shape, or form.
Think about it. The interlock companies couldn’t make all the money they make if they out-priced a large segment of society.
They are not expensive. But again, if you’re not convicted of DUI, you don’t need to worry about it.
