About the Super Lawyers Selection Process
Selections are based on a multi-step nomination and ranking process. Attorneys must first be nominated by their peers, and they cannot campaign for nominations. Super Lawyers then independently researches the nominees and evaluates them on 12 factors of professional achievement, including verdicts and settlements, years of experience, honors and awards, and community service. After this evaluation, the highest-scoring nominees are asked to rank, on a 5-point scale, their peers in the same practice area. Then, Super Lawyers selects the top-ranking attorneys to be included on the list.
